Has anyone here used Easyspace? They seem reasonable etc. and I need to
transfer my domain to a new provider as once I get BB I will be moving
to Plusnet & want to retain my current domain etc.

Any other suggestions of good domain/mail providers also appreciated.
Thanks.

You could try us: www.angelhosts.com we offer low cost E-mail only hosting
for your domain, or web hosting - prices from $2 with full UK telephone
support.

Sean,

I recently went with

http://www.4surehosting.co.uk/

and initially has a small problem. Their customer support was excellent
though and sorted everything out PDQ. I can recommend them.

Also, although I didn't use them, Krystian who also responded here
(angelhosts.com) helped me out big time with any queries I had. I didn't go
with them in the end just because I needed something slightly different to
what they could supply but his help and advice was first rate. I cannot
really comment on the end product but if it's anything like the advice given
then I'm sure it's first class.

Regards

Alun

Yes but it is a cost issue.... they charge circa £20 a year... as
opposed to about £8 for 2 years.

In addition to my previous post about hosting .. If you transferred your
domain hosting to uk2.net you could redirect it to your plus.net webspace ..
UK2 offer domain forwarding, so www.krystian.plus.com would be
www.mydomain.com

I do not know what uk2 prices are .. but worth a look as you do have 250megs
web space on plus.net

i.e. free

That's £12 a year... I can get the same for £4... simple economics.

Might need one to get a business account on PlusNet if the domain is
commercial, as it's not allowed on their own hosting for home users.
The fact it may be included would be significantly outweighed by the
cost for the business connection account, I suspect.

Personally I'd avoid UK2. They have low headline pricing, then charge
for absolutely everything else - e.g. to get rid of the banner on domain
forwarding, to have access to your DNS control panel, to move the domain
away from them...

I used Freeparking.co.uk (who do all those things free) until I got set
up to do it all myself - which is far preferable.
