'slamming' DSL circuit

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of an unpleasant experience having had my telephone line and
DSL circuit taken over by another company with no warning. I never signed
anything.

Moving back is proving to be a nightmare.

The ISP concerned say they cannot help and I have to talk to BT.

Multiple people and departments at BT refuse to help because the ISP in question
needs to request a cease on the phoneline and DSL circuit which I'd then have to
pay costs for to get reconnected.

I have spoken to ofcom briefly and am lodging a formal complaint with them over
the fact that this has happened at that somewhere the normal checks were not
carried out.

Does anyone have any advice about who to contact in order to get this fixed?

Thanks,

I'm not overly familiar with that process but wouldn't a mac code have been
needed to move your broadband supply?

It may be worth asking the new provider for details of the order and how it
was processed. I'm assuming that if you're not paying the new supplier then
they'll cut you off at some point?

Regards

John

I've spoken to them several times and after suggesting I try their service I
think they realized I wasn't interested. They have agreed to cease the service
and return the line to BT with no charge.

Apparently, the order was placed with a mis-spelt telephone number - My number
was put on the order in error.

not clear if your ADSL isn't working ? you are with a new ISP and want
to get back to the old ? who are the ISPs (may influence the answer)

http://www.bt.com/business/misselling/ might be of interest.

Is there any reason you don't name and shame them here?
If I have understood the details in your post, it somewhat narrows the
field.

So was it Bulldog?

My ADSL line was with Easynet.

Bulldog came along and took it over without getting my authority or permission
and I want to put it back how it was before they came along and interfered.
