I've got a good ISP (an entanet reseller) but can't get digital TV. The
Sky 'surf and sea' package, especially the 8-16Mb speed, looks like
very good value.

Worth the plunge?

you can get a skybox and dish for under £50 (adtrader /ebay), often with a
freesat card (available from sky for £20), and DIY fit.
unless i'm misunderstanding this, and your only way of getting dig-tv would
be via internet, due to location / building issues
if your exchange is LLU i wouldnt hesitate, but i'm also with enta and i've
heard some bad things about sky's adsl service.

I have had more problems with a flaky enta.net service than I have with
LLU Sky/uk-online which has been faultless.

No problem with Sky BB here, my exchange is LLU and it's never fallen
over. speeds are around 10-11Mb on the 16Mb package, which with the
distance to the exchange taken into account is reasonable as far as I'm
concerned. It's certainly better than I had on Virgin's '20Mb' package,
and much cheaper with me being a Sky TV customer.

I am happy with my sky max broadband.
Fast, cheap and reliable.

Don't forget that if you are getting Sky there is a promotion on ATM that
gets you free installation + £50 and the person that recommends you £50 too.

I`m very happy, I pay £5 a month and running nice and fast, got activated
early and they are giving the new black Netgear router out which seems to be
stable..

Dennis (if that is your real name!)

I haven't seen that promotion, I've only seen the website offer where I
can get the minimum Sky TV package (1 mix) with Broadband Max (no
telephone) and a standard Sky box for £30 installation and £26/month.

If your promo is better than that, would you like to pm me (blueruth AT
gmail.com - where blue should be red)?
