I am looking to move to LLU for my broadband and phone package, and the two
available LLU services available at my exchange are Sky and TalkTalk. I
have no experience with either of these services, and would like your advice
on which you believe is best. I have Sky TV already, but dont subscribe to
any package and dont really want to subscribe to any package with Sky. So I
am looking more at the TalkTalk deal, but have they sorted out their
problems? I remember the times when they were always in the news for being
really bad (( I am hoping those days have gone.

Thanks Dave

Yes and no. I was in the same position a few weeks back. I wouldn't have
touched them with the proverbial bargepole this time last year, but I'd been
keeping an eye on the independent reports and forums, and it seemed as
though the act was coming together.

As I don't rely heavily on broadband or the landline (although I'd be well
lost without it!) I decided to give it a punt on the strength of the 30 day
guarantee, even though I'm committed to 17 months after that. The maximum
penalty for early termination is £70 - which taken against £17 a month for
Line Rental, Inclusive Eve/W'End calls UK and 36 other countries and 40 Gig
bandwidth Broadband ain't too shabby.

They managed to cockup my start date and Account page, but other than that -
no complaints so far.

In short, I'd say go for it if you don't mind a bit of a gamble, but if your
livelihood depends on communications, look elsewhere and be prepared to pay
for it.

No Brainer, it's got to be Sky Broadband.

You say you are on a Sky LLU Exchange, and are a basic Sky TV customer (£16
a month) - then you will get the Basic (up to 2Mb) Sky Broadband for free,
yes £0 a month - and you do not have to subscribe to a Movie package or
Sports package or etc etc You can also subscribe to Sky Talk also free at £0
a month if you wish.

Also the Sky Broadband Service is highly rated by many..........

Steve.
