Just out of interest should the settings in the Sky Router be set to VC or
LLC in the multiplexing option....also what's the VPI and VCI? still 0 and
38?

isn't it preconfigured ?

The answer may be different for BT provided or LLU circuits - what
package are you on and is it LLU ( samknows.com may help )

All i can tell you is my Netgear DG843g synched up on my SKY service with
the bog standard normal settings, so I would expect them to be correct, in
most cases if they are incorrect it will fail (I could be wrong though)

I was testing to see if I had a problem at my end/exchange when I had an
outage (the only one so far) a week or so ago & I had manged to get my
login/password out of the Sky router using the ping method....
