Hi All,
A friend, completely new to setting up mail etc, has signed up with Sky.
He uses outlook Express at work so does not want to use Sky's version of OE,
but he doesn't know the mail server names to set up OE. Does anyone know
Skys pop3 and smtp server names?

Many thanks

Dumbo

AFAIK, Sky use Googlemail for email.

He'll have to create his account on the Sky site & turn pop3 mail on.
from there he'll find the relevant instructions.

pop.tools.sky.com
smtp.tools.sky.com

Note that they will change the outgoing "From:" line unless you login to
their control panel and jump through some hoops. They will also add extra
lines to the headers for Sender and Return-Path.

They're not on the default pop3 and smtp ports either. 465 and 995 IIRC.

True. And they only support SSL connections.
