Sky is LLU, If you think your not go to http://www.samknows.com and
enter you phone number into the avaliabilty checker. It should say Sky
Broadband / Easynet LLU is avaliable, which means if you are with sky
you are on LLU. But i am fairly sure that Sky BB is LLU. Most ISPs
that are cheap are.

That is incorrect.

Sky is my ISP, and although my local exchange (Neath 01639) has had
Sky/Easynet LLU kit installed, I am not yet connected to it.

The easiest way for the OP to check how he is connected is to check
his bill.

If he is being charged 17 qid a month then he is on the onnect package
and therefore not connected to Sky's LLU kit.

If he is being charged either nothing, 5 quid or 10 quid a month then
he is on one of the LLU packages.

If you're reasonably close to the exchange and seeing over 8Mbit
you're on LLU :-)

http://speedtester.bt.com will always give you an error

You will not be able to connect using the BT test logins.
(eg username: whatever@startup_domain)

http://www.ukfsn.org/cgi-bin/availability.cgi should tell you that
your line is LLUed once the BT database is updated.

The RDNS of the first hop after your router in a tracert
to anywhere would appear to include your exchange name!

Hmm, I could be wrong about that one, I've not actually tried it
and I think the sky router uses maccode@speedtest_domain for testing the
connection.

If you can connect you shouldn't get a BT IP address though.
