Hi,
Were going to create a VPN between our colorado and
washington office. Were using Windows 2003 on both sides.
In setting up the site links, are the subnet address's
that are created on both sides in the "Active Directory
Sites and Services" the private IP of that physical
servers that are being linked? Thanks.

The regular Private addressing of the two LANs is what is being used. The
Public IP#s are just filling the same "role" as "phone numbers" in a dialup
modem connection. So the Public IP#s have no bearing on anything,... just
like Telephone Numbers had no bearing on LAN Routing in older systems using
dial-in modems.

Therefore normal networking rules apply,..such as there can not be two
machines running the same address within connected networks. So the two LANs
must not be using the same private address block.

Also make sure you deploy the right type of VPN model. You need the
"Site-toSite VPN" and not the "Remote Access VPN".
