simultaneous move code: question

I'm told it's possible to move an ADSL service from one location to another
having a different phone number, but one has to ask BT for a "simultaneous
move code" to give to the ISP.

Has anybody any experience of this? Who did you call in BT to get this
code?

Hi Graham,

BT Retail (150) should be able to give you this code. Word of warning
though, the process is not ideal and the success rate isn't great.
Should such an order fail, you are likely to be left without ADSL for a
longer period of time than if you opted for the standard cease/reprovide
process.

Kind Rgds,

Current position is that the code has been provided. ISP has tried it -
didn't work. BT admit: "yes it's not working at the moment".

Watch this space ....
