Is there a way for 2 kids to use 2 different PC's at the same time (internet
use i mean). We have broadband (Wanadoo) and the kids both have a PC and
fight eachother to go on it !!. Is there a way of "splitting" the broadband
and feeding it to the other PC so they can both go on at the same time ??

What is the best way of doing this ?

Cheers
Fed up parent !

Buy a ADSL router, use that to connect to your ISP & then connect the
PC's to that...

That's the simple answer

Andy100 laid this down on his screen :

Exactly as the others have suggested....

ADSL Modem + router combined in one box, add a network card to each PC,
a network cable out to each and Bob is your whatsit. Or even easier...

Get a box which also includes a wireless access point and get a couple
of wireless cards for the PC'. No wiring to be done.

Ideal for the newbie - fuck it up and he'll have the rest of the street
connecting through him for free.

Get one with a couple of VoIP phone ports and sign up for a couple of free
extra phone numbers while you're about it, and give them each their own
phone numbers..! www.avm.de/en is worth a look, no connection just a
satisfied customer.

MinusNet formulated the question :

Then he is in the right ng to obtain good advice on how to prevent the
(or selectively permit) the above scenario.
