does anyone know how to set up simple file and print sharing for my
suse 9.1 box and a p3 win98 box? They are connected (hard lines)
through a linksys 4port router via ethernet, with a cable connection.
I'd rather not install a second nic and make one the server, if
possible. also, the linux box's files are all on an ext/3 files
system; will windows be able to access these files at all?

any ideas --or full blown, detailed, yet simple instructions-- would be
welcomed!

again: both computers are often, but not always, powered up, and I'd
love to have constant cable internet w/o one acting as a server...
when on, I would like access to files across both and a printer on the
microsoft windows 98 machine.

its just a small home thing, nothing too fancy...

thanks!! lefty.crupps
did I mention that I want it to be simple to set up?

Not quite the help I hoped for. I have them both set as
Workgroup=WORKGROUP and i have enabled file and printer sharing on
each... win98 has the NetBEUI proto installed as well as TCP/IP... but
they aren't finding one another... what more to do in SuSE? what
should I set the "MS-Windows Decoding" to?

and i don't need to restart the Linux box at all as I do this, do I?
