Hi

I would like to create a simple domain with two computers,
one running 2003 enterprise server and one running win
2000 professional. This would be to learn the fundamentals
of 2003 and AD (other objects are printer and pda)

If possible can someone please outline the steps to create
the domain including ICS so the client can connect via the
2003 machine.

Finally can anyone give some pointers on Security. Is
there enough security built in to 2003 that i dont need a
3rd party virus or firewall program? If it is needed can
anyone suggest a sharewhare program for the server? I have
NAV but it only runs on client.

Thanks
Jon

It would be best not to use ICS in an domain environment. Instead you can
configure RRAS and NAT so your client can get out.

324286 HOW TO: Set Up Internet Connection Sharing in Windows Server 2003

Suggest picking up a book on AD a the local bookstore. To much information
to post here.

You always need AV software. Firewalls perform a different function.
