Siemens santis wlan usb adaptor

When install a santis wlan usb adaptor on my laptop Compaq evo n600c there
has to appear a icon in the lower right corner of my screen. This icon is
visible when the wlan monitor is active. Through this monitor one can modify
the setting of the wireless connection and you can see the quality of the
connection. According my task manager, the application "wlan monitor" is
running, but there is no icon visible on my screen. How can I solve this
problem?
