Wireless router/pc wireless nic/laptop wireless card
All 802.11b. Worth the expense to upgrade?

If you primary WiFi use is to get to the 'net, then no; either
802.11b or 802.11g is way faster than almost any path to the 'net.
802.11b is 11 Mb/s, 802.11g is 54 Mb/s; cable is typically 1.5 Mb/s,
ADSL is <1 Mb/s, T1 is ~1.5 Mb/s. Since the connection between the
router and the 'net is the bottleneck, making the connection
between the router and the PCs even faster will not help.

OTOH, if you do a lot of inter-PC file copies over your LAN,
then the fact that 11g is 4-5 times as fast as 11b will certainly
be apparent on long file transfers.

Thanks for the info. I really have no need for "speed" between the
computers. Just the
mobility from the router.
