2x combined ADSL modems/routers/with wifi access points.

One (Netgear) is used as the connection to ADSL and provides wired plus
wifi service around the house. I intend to utilise the the second one
(Belkin) for a short wifi link to another PC out of range of the first
unit. I have connected the Netgear and Belkin units with CAT5.

Q.. Should I disable DHCP on the Belkin unit?
Ignoring security of the link, do I need to do anything else?

Cheers..

Yes disable the Belkin's DHCP server.
Make sure the Belkin's IP address isn't in the range of IP addresses of
the Netgear's DHCP pool and doesn't conflict with the Netgear's IP address.
For example:
Netgear IP address 192.168.0.1
Netgear DHCP pool 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.100
Belkin IP address 192.168.0.200

Other than the channel, make the wireless settings identical for both
routers.
