Sharing tab is missing

Folders/files do not have a 'sharing' tab when viewing
thier properties.
What's not turned on?

Sounds like you have not installed file and print sharing.

Look in your registry for one or both of the following values and
delete it/them

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Network
NoFileSharing dword:00000001
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Network
NoPrintSharing dword:00000001
