Sharing

I recently got a NETGEAR WG311 and a BELKIN WIRELESS ROUTER. A couple of
questions. My laptop is in another room about 20 feet away going through 2
concrete walls (Sorry if this is useless information but I am new to
networking) The signal is low is there any way I can make the signal
stronger?

My 2nd question is how can I get both computers to share a scanner and
printer

I'm not familiar with those particular models, but generally
speaking, you should consider using a more directional antenna,
such as a sector antenna on the belkin (because it's less likely to move.)

"Both computers" implies a second computer, but you have only indicated
the location of one computer.

Generally speaking, you can likely share the printer, but it would depend
upon the make/model and the printer drivers, and upon which OSes and
OS versions you are using. It is -possible- that you might have to
use a commercial print-spooler program to do what you want.

Being able to share the scanner is less likely, but it would depend
upon the make/model and the scanner driver, and upon which OSes and
OS versions you are using. (Are you detecting a theme here? You
have been less than specific about the equipment you are using,
and that wastes our time, trying to guess about your equipment, or
trying to answer the question for all equipment that has ever been made.)

Sharing printers is fairly common, and you don't usually get very
much data coming back -from- the printer, so it is relatively easy to
share printers. Scanners, though, are input devices, and there is no
real standard for communicating with them, so your scanner drivers
might be expecting the scanner to be local, immediately visible as
a SCSI or USB or parallel-port device. You would probably find it
a lot easier to not try to -share- the scanner: instead, use the scanner
only on one of the machines, and share the *files* that it produces.
