Dear Expert

We have a dell Poweredge 2950 server with windows 2003 server standard
edition. RAID5 is implemented. Also DHCP service is running. We are facing
sharing problems over the network. Full sharing and NTFS permissions have
been given to network users. However no files can be copied on to the server
from any of the clients. Sometimes even we cannot access the server at all.
However we can ping the server and viceversa. We are runnung Sify broadband
internet services through the serverwhich provides us A class IP addresses.
The DHCP assigns C classs ip addresses. The internet is being accessed on all
the clients. However they cannot access the server for any shared files. What
is the Problem?

Hello shailendra,

Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the server and a problem client.
So the server is multihomed, one NIC to the LAN and one to the internet?
Is the server also DC and DNS server?

Best regards
