How do I share Windows 2003 Server printers to Windows NT 4 clients
- I am trying to combine all printer shares / drivers onto one "Print Server
- I am trying to define several HP printers (to include HP 5000N, 5000DN) on a new 2003 server and would like to SHARE them to Windows NT 4 clients (around for at least two more years)
- reference MS KB article 290874
-- "Windows 2000 Printer Driver Does Not Push Printer Configuration Changes to Windows NT 4.0 Driver
-- Windows NT uses version 2.0 driver
-- Windows 2000 and above use version 3.0 driver
- I have tried to also install the "latest drivers" for the HP 500
-- Windows 2003 Server states that the drivers I am trying to load are not compatible with Win2003.
