For annoying site to site VPN and legacy server software which prints
directly from the server to printer share names ...

I need to be able to use a printer share that's on a Desktop that's part of
a domain from a desktop that isn't part of the/any domain.

Now I know I can set up a local user and then issue the following command
'net use \\computername /USER:localuser password' and then browse the
machine and install the printer on my non domain machine but I really need
to be able to do it without worrying about username's, passwords etc

I thought I'd be able to enable the guest account on the domain machine, but
at that point I can't even browse the computer shares from the non domain
machine, let alone install a shared printer.

Thanks,
Alex

Can you get a print server for this printer? And then print to it as a local
printer (standard TCP/IP port)?
