Sharing Broadband (again!)

I have created a wireless network between my 2 PC's (one XP Home, the other
ME). Each PC can ping the other. My XP PC is connected to the internet via
ADSL USB modem.

I was told that I could share the internet connection this way but the ME
PC will not connect to the internet. I just get "Page Cannot Be Displyed"
errors.

Where am I going wrong??

Have you set up XP to function in Internet Connection Sharing mode?

Yes I think so - Do you mean right-click on Internet Connection >
Properties > Advanced?

have you run the wizard from the xp disc on the ME machine ??
insert it - perform additional tasks etc

You would need to set up Internet Connection Sharing on the XP.
But a router is a much better way to go. Cheap too.

Did you set up ICS on the XP box?

Yes I set up ICS on the XP box. I used the Network SetUp Wizard on the XP
box, created a setUp Disk and then ran that on the ME box.

Are there aby settings that I can check anywhere? I thought the setup disk
would make all the necessary adjustments.
