Specs:
1 Windows 2003 server Small Business Edition.
15 Windows 98 and Windows XP Home Editon.
Network:
Workgoup (98 and XP HE do not allow domain partnership)
Problem.
I need to share a directory to all the 98 and XP boxes
but even though I have made all the shares available even
have made the C:\cvprograms avalable to (everyone). but
even with this I still can't log in to the share. It
comes up and asked for a user ID and password. I have a
test user and user with Admin right and even tryied
Administrator with out success. Can someone help me with
this it would be greatly apprecitated.

Thank you

Ernesto.

Hi Ernesto,

Try entering this in username filed:

domain_name\username

where domain_name is name of domain that SBS belongs to
where username is username created SBS domain

On Windows 98 you should install Active Directory Client for Win9x. You can
find it on Windows 2000 server CD.
