Shared Printer

I have a small network and trying to print to a shared
printer on a Windows 2000 machine and when I connect from
98 machines it is asking for a password and there is not a
password setup on it. Any ideas please let me know.

What I have had to do is to browse to the printer through
network neighborhood.

I am not sure how your network is setup, but these are
the steps that I used for Domain server.

Go to Network Neighborhood
Go to Entire Network
Go to (Network Name)
Go to computer that printer is connected to
Go to Printer
Right Click Printer
Choose connect

This should get it connected.

The 2000 machine is asking for a password when I trym top
browse it. There is not a password setup on it for
sharing. I have tryed putting the administrator password
in but that won't work.

Create a user account on Windows 2000 with the same user name and
password that you use to log onto Windows 98. Another way of saying
that is to log onto Windows 98 with a user name and password that
match an account on Windows 2000.
