Shared printer problem - font printed backwards

I have a small network consisting of a desktop running XP Pro, a Compaq
notebook running Vista Home Basic, and an HP notebook running Vista Home
Premium. The shared printer is connected to the desktop. The Compaq notebook
prints properly. However, when the HP notebook documents are printed, the
font is backwards or mirror imaged regardless of what program is used. The
only thing that fixed it so far is that I had to turn off the print spooling,
which bogs things down a bit. Has anyone experienced this problem or have a
better fix ? The Compaq prints OK regardless of the print spooling setting.
