Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on both computers. It will keep the
Internet connection working, and it will make the right settings for
file and printer sharing.
If the Wizard detects the router's shared Internet connection, tell it
to use that connection. Otherwise, tell it that the computers connect
to the Internet through a residential gateway.
If you don't want to use a floppy disk, you can copy this file from
the XP computer to a CD or USB flash drive and run it on Win98:
C:\Windows\System32\Netsetup.exe
If you've installed a firewall program, configure it to allow access
on the local area network.
