Someone has recently told me that a broadband connection wont slow, if
two computers are sharing and using the internet connection at the
same time.

if you are using a 512kbps connection, shared with a router, you would
have a slower connection if someone else is using it. eg using the
same programs etc, 256kbps each. i dont see why if this isnt true, why
a company could charge a higher price to a shared connection in a
school, compared to one at a home.

Tell him or her that you can squeeze two pints of beer into a pint
glass. Get him or her to pay for both pints. Place an empty pint glass
in his or her lap. Pour one pint into the glass, immediately followed by
the second pint. When the inevitable happens, tell him or her that it
looks like two into one just won't go after all.

better to tell him that buying one pint will allow both of them to
have a pint, then down the lot and hand over the empty glass :-)

Ah your friend was sort of "right" the link will not SEEM to be slower, But
this depends on what the users are doing. if they are both downloading a
5Meg file then yes it will be slower, But if are both just surfing general
sites It will not SEEM slower even though it may be at times.

I knew there was a simpler way of putting that but I couldn't think of
it!
