Hi all,

First of all I'm really a newby at linux. But, I want to set up a shared VPN
connection. I want to connect a small office (SO) throu the internet to my
business office (BO). I already have an account at the BO and I can connect
to it, but I want to share that connection with other machines at SO. How
can I set up the machine I connect to the BO to share the VPN connection.
The machine I use to connect to the BO is a Debian 3.0r4 and the machines
I want to share the connection are Windows XP PRO.
Sorry about my big question.

Hope you guys can give me a hand

Thanks to all

You'll need some VPN that can connect to the other end. I use OpenVPN,
which can be used with Linux or Windows. However, no matter what method
you use, you'll have to get it through the firewall at the other end. Is
the BO your own business? A large company? Can you get the admin to allow
VPN access?

Thanks for your reply James Knott.

I can connect with the BO with VPN. What I want to do Is to share this
connection with the other PCs in my SO.
Can OpenVPN share this connection? How can I configure it? Sorry about
these questions, but I'm really a newbie at Linux. Hope I was clear also.

When you set up a VPN, it's exactly as though you had a dedicated circuit
going to the other end. You simply configure your routing tables to use
it. If you terminate the VPN at the firewall, the other computers on the
network don't have to know about the additional route, as the firewall can
be configured for the appropriate routing.
