Share with other devices on the network

Is it possible to get Windows Server 2008 to share folders with devices like
the XBox360 and the PlayStation 3.

Both of those units are able to browse a Vista machine, when Windows Media
Player shares the libraries stated by a user.

I guess I'm asking, how to get Windows to share folders using the protocal
that Windows Media Player uses, without actually having Windows Media Player
installed?

Does Windows Server 2008 have the capability?
