Greetings To everybody!!!

I have Network of 20 comyz. Clients are windows 98 and
windows 2000 prof. Server OS is windows 2000 advance
server. I have problem in one client pc having windows 98.
That pc is connected to network, server accepts its
passowrd, I can even execute files which are in server.
The problem is when i try to access some else Pc thru
Network Neighbourhood it says Share Name Can Not Be Found.

When i right click on Network Neighbourhood and click on
find computer, and when i give name to any computer is
searches and gives the result but when i double click on
that computer it gives the same error.

eg, In Network Neighbourhood I can see 20 pc. If i try to
double click on other Pc it gives the error. When i PING
to server ip address reply do come without any loss. But
when i PING to other PC IP it says Cannot find host.

I hope u all have understood my problem.

Hoping to have a kind help.

Regds,
Saurabh.

I just had that same thing happen to me tonight with Samba on Solaris.

It turned out it was a permissions problem on a parent of the directory
being shared.

I think the error message is pretty misleading.

I don't know whether W2K would behave similarly.
