hi everyone see what i have

2 dc windows 2000 and 2 windows 2003

One Dc is a File Share. When i connect using \\<FQDN> or \\IP i can
see the shares and acces then. But when i use \\<server_name> i can
see the shares but when i click on any share i recived this menssage

"\\<servername>\<share> is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the adminsitrator of
this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Configuration information could not be read form the domain
controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has
been denied"

i doble check the wins and DNS and cant find any problem on it, using
ethereal i colect this:

Trans2 Request, GET_DFS_REFERRAL, File: \dc00\cpro-pm
Trans2 Response, GET_DFS_REFERRAL, Error: STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE
rans2 Request, GET_DFS_REFERRAL, File: \dc00\cpro-pm
Trans2 Response, GET_DFS_REFERRAL, Error: STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE

any help
best reguards

Leandro

Probably a bad WINS entry. Delete any entry in any WINS Server that relates
to both the Name or the IP# of the target machine. It will eentually
reneter itself correctly later on.

It could also be an incorrect entry on an LMHOST file, although that is less
likely.
