How to share files etc

I have a home desktop Win98. My work laptop runs Windows
XP. I recently wired my broadband cable modem to a
wireless switch/router/hub (Linksys BEFW11S4)with an
ethernet connection. And I installed a USB wireless
network adapter (Linksys WUSB11) to my desktop machine.
My laptop was already configured for wireless access. I
am now sucessfully accessing the internet on my laptop
with this setup. Can I also access files from my desktop
computer on the laptop? Can anyone offer a simple step-by-
step - I'm not very good with configuring! Thanks.
