Shall I open the box?

I bought a Netgear Adsl Modem/Router ,DG834G.
I am not sure wether to open the packaging or to return it to the shop.
You see I am on Bt Yahoo Broadband ,with a dinamic IP address but I have to
dial out to get connected...ie I am not always on....
Does this mean I cannot use this wireless product?

Its fine. you only dial out with the modem you are using. Once the
router is plugged in its always on and ready when you turn your computer on.

MyAlcatel modem will not be used...are you saying the Netgear router with
integral modem will be able to do the dialing out?
