I have a wireless cable modem (SMC Networks) attached to one computer. I have
another computer that I want to have access to that internet. The second
computer has a linksys wireless adapter (Linksys Wireless G, USB network
adapter). I can get the second computer to see the wireless internet and
connnect ( it downloaded a bunch of updates for windows) but it won't load
any websites. What am I doing wrong? Both are running Windows XP. I tried to
set up a home network thinking that would help but no luck.
Any help?
Please.

Are you saying that the 2nd computer *can* (did) connect to Windows
Update but can't connect to any other website? What error message do you
get?

Are you sure that the wireless network you see is *your* wireless network?

Hi
It might be a Winsock problem, try this process,

To make sure that your Wireless client is working correctly,
