hello,

I will appreciate it if somebody could give me instructions to setup
my wireless card.
OS = FC5
Laptop = Lenovo T42

It works on Windows but not in Linux. Please give me an explanation
since I have tens of links and articles but none works unless Linux is
not capable of wireless.

I truly will appreciate it.

1. figure out which wireless card you got (lspci could help)
2. load the correct module (modprobe)
3. configure it (/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-...)

unless you ask specific question you'll only receive generic answers.

But I thought your answer was pretty good.

you should maybe just add that every distribution has its own GUI for
a configuration tool; usually under some menu like systems ettings -->
network --> configuration ...

Get a card like the Dlink WNA2330 with an atheros chipset, plug it in and
boot up.

And if you get used to one of those GUIs you'll be lost when working on a
different machine. I find it's best to stick to basics if you plan on
ever working "outside the box" (-:
