Setup TCP/IP printer on linux

I have a printer runnin on windows 2000. I've set up the lpr service on
the win2000. However, when I tried configuring my linux box (using
cups- http://localhost:631/printers) to use the windows printer, each
time i want to print a test page it keeps sayin "network host is busy.
will retry in 30 secs."
This is the message it keeps telling me even for more than one hour.

Why is this? Did i go wrong in settin up the cup service.

When is ask for the protocol to use: I chose internet protocol
(ipp://hostname/queue). The queue name I chose was my hostname, and the
hostname in the ipp protocol link was the remote hostname.

Anybody with any idea?

For lpd use lpd:// URL:

DeviceURI lpd://hostname/printer
