you could do that but your pc would have to be on to do that. a better bet
that wouldnt cost much more is a wireless router and a card, instead of 2
cards. Connect the modem to the router, connect your pc to one of the
ethernet sockets on the router and he can use the connection wirelessly
without needing your computer to be on. Belkin routers are pretty cheap and
you get a lot for your money - mine cost about 40 quid and it even lets you
set times different pcs can use the connection between. Just remember to use
WEP encryption or all your neighbouts will be using your connection
