Setup proxy

I want to connect the internet through our windows proxy server , I
usually config it on the xwindows , how can I config it on the shell ?
I use RH 8 linux . thx

Let's see, back then they were still using linuxconf, weren't they?
If you have a broadband connection, use RH8 or Windows to download a
newer distro.
