Hi,
i'm having all sort of trouble getting this to work.

I have a Desktop computer fitted with two ethernet cards, the first
card i've named INTERNET and is connected to my Cable modem.
The second card is called Upstairs and has a Cat 5 cable going to my
second computer downstairs. I've just purchased a Acer Travel Mate 660
LMi with fitted WiFi.
I went to PC WPRLD and was told to buy a Belkin Wireless USB Adapter.
I have connected this to a USB port and have loaded the software. I've
managed to set up the Belkin Adapter and my laptop to see each other,
but only in signal strength and nothing else.

I can't get it to connect to the internet or to download files from
the main computer/server which has everything connected to it.

Please advise me on what i'm doing wrong. I have set up my INTERNET
connection to ICS and have got all the cards set up to 192.168.0.1 -
192.168.0.8 ( each card has one DNS) default gateway is 192.168.0.1

TIA
PS please keep it simple i'm only new at this and would appreciate a
none jargon answer where possible:-)

Are you running a firwall on either the desktop or laptop? If so, you
probably need to set a firewall option designating ICS server/host or
ICS client.
