Hi,

As I understand, the account for fpt is also a system account in *nix (not
like windoze, you can setup an account for ftp only). So,
What is the best approach to setup an ftp only account? Ie, the account
does not have any other access rights (shell, pop3, etc) beside ftp?

Thanks

If I'm understanding you, then you would substitute the ftp program for the
shell in /etc/password.

When they exit the ftp program, they also log out.

Well, I just want to disable my anonymous ftp account and setup an
password protected account for ftp up/download. I don't want to give it
any other rights, no shell access for example. so...?

Thanks
