Hi All,

I have Windows 2008 enterprise 64 bits.

Right now I am using only 1 network card for the Network and internet
connection. I was told for security purposes it would be preferred to use
the second network card dedicated only for the internet connection and the
other one only for the network for security purposes. So this way from the
Internet connection you can't see any computers on the network. That server
is only dedicated for a web site services only.

How can I setup the other network card to work only with the internet?

Thanks,

Eric

Hello Eric,

Normally you should avoid multihoming machines, different ip's on 2 NIC's,
especially it is not recommended on DC's. So what server roles does the machine
have?

Best regards

Hi Meinolf,

Mainly I have the Web Services Role for now soon I need to add the DNS
capability to it. That machine also has ms sql 2008 so users via the web
site can perform some searches.

Thanks,

Eric
