Hi

I am thinking of setting up a win2k server as a wireless router using bits
in my spares box ie PCI wifi card.
The reasoning is that the win2k box is hardly used as its a PMR446 radio
gateway so not overstetched at all.

I know i could set up the card in adhoc mode but would thsi allow machines
not in adhoc mode to connect?
basicly I want to set it up as a WAP.

this is the setup at present
____e-smith
server(Gateway)________Main network
/
Internet-------DSLrouter-/_____win2kserver______PMR446 radio

\_____802.11 wifi network(proposed)

Hopefully that has come out ok.
This setup means that WIFI users have no access to my network except for
webmail on the e-smith but nothing else.
which is what I want.

Any advice much appreciated

Ian
