Setting up WEP in Bridging Mode

I've been told that I can set up my MN-500 in bridging
mode to use WEP. I plan to use this device in a college
dorm, and do not wish for anyone but me and another
person access to the campus network through my device.
How can I set up WEP so that only me and my roommate can
use the device wirelessly? Thanks.

Use of WEP doesn't require that the MN-500 be bridged, Brandon. Are you
tying into a modem? If so, the normal setup instructions in the User's
Guide will work. You would change the Workgroup to a unique name (don't use
the default), make sure your LAN segment has a unique SSID and select one of
the channels (don't use the default, again).

I'm tying into a campus network. They require a VPN to
connect. I can connected wirelessly through any of their
already set up Acess Points....I just wish to create my
own, but one that only me and a roommate can use. This is
so I don't have 10 people I don't know are not taking up
my bandwidth on the wired connection I would attach to
the router. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, in that case, since you're having a LAN segment of your own, change the
Network Mode of the base station to bridging mode. It is described on pages
68-69 of the User's Guide.
