Setting up VPN and missing L2TP ports

I'm currently in the process of setting up a 2003 box as a VPN server. It's
working fine with PPTP but I would like to move to a certificate-based L2TP
mechanism, primarily so that it works better with clients behind NAT but also
for the security.

The problem I'm facing is that in the Ports section of the Routing & Remote
Access MMC, there's no L2TP ports available. There's only 5 x PPTP ports.
Yes, I deleted them when I was setting the system up :-(

My question is how can I get these ports to come back? I've tried removiong
the R&RA role from the server and adding it in again but this didn't do a
reinstall as I hoped it would do.

I'd love to get back to the default configuration of R&RA. Is this possible?

The Miniport (L2TP) may be disabled. You may need to enable or re-install it. This search result may help,

RESOLVED: Network Wizard only ...The solution involved reinstalling the WAN Miniport (PPTP) driver. ... new 'MAC Bridge Miniport." 4. Now that it's gone, lets reinstall it. ...

Hi Bob,

You got it right. For some reason or other I had disabled the Parallel and
L2TP ports in device manager when I was setting the system up. I enabled the
devices again and L2TP is now working :-)

Thanks for your help.

Tim.
