Setting up a network

When I try to set up a network between my 2 computers I
get this message on start up.
"Microsoft Work Groups odi/ndis3 mapper version 2.0
cannot find LSL" The 2 computers are hardwired with a
router and get on the internet okay but won't talk to each
other. Any suggestions?
