Been trying,unsuccessfully, to setup a 802.11a home network containing 2 X
PC`s
& 1 X laptop using 2 X PCI cards & a CardBus card PLUS an Access Point.

2 X PC`s run XP Pro & Laptop runs Windows 98

After weeks, nearly there !

I can `see` all three machines in Microsoft Windows Network (Network
Neighbourhood)
on the XP Pro PC`s but the other two machines I can `see` are not
accesible:-

"Laptop not accesible, you may not have permission to use this network
resource - network
path not found"

On the Laptop running Windows 98 I get this message:-

"Unable to browse trhe network, network not accesible"

I`m using 128 bit WEP encription & same SSID on all machines, I`m sure
my IP addresses & subnets are also correct.

Any ideas where the problem may lie ?

I would be curious to know if your access is being routed through your
cable modem? Many providers deny netbios access from an outside
address to prevent people browsing others network shared. I would
verify that each machine has an internal address. You might try adding
them in the DMZ to make sure that is not the issue. Best of luck.
