setting up MN-700 as access point

I would like to convert my MN-700 wireless base station as
an access point. A couple of questions:

1.)Which ethernet port on the access point do I use? One
of the LAN ports or the WAN port?

2.)How do I connect to the access point if I want to
change the configuration? I have setup the Wireless_Name
as Wireless_Router and I am using the default 192.168.2.*
for the network. Do I open up IE to
http://Wireless_router/ ????

Hi,

To use it as an access point, you'll have to plug in a network cable from
your router that you already have in place to the WAN port of the MN-700.

To connect to the MN-700's configuration page after changing it to Access
Point mode, you'll have to type in
http://basestationname in your Internet Explorer.

Here you'll then be able to configure your wireless settings and your
wireless security settings.

When I type in http://Wireless_Router in IE, I get
the "Cannot find server" error message. Any ideas?

Hi,

Check your Internet Explorer proxies, and see if there are any on.
Open up your Internet Explorer then go up to Tools -> Internet Options
Then click on the Connections Tab, and then go down and click on the LAN
Settings button
Make sure all the checkmarks are unchecked and then hit ok and then ok
again.

Then try your typing in the IE's address bar http://nameofyourrouter/ again
and see if it works.

I checked the proxy settings, everything looks ok. I even
deleted the cache, but no luck. The Router that the
access point (MN-700) is connected to is a MN-100. Does
the MN-100 Router understand http://Wireless_Router/ ??
