setting an interface for up traffic and a second for down traffic

i have under Rh9, two network interfaces, and i want to configure the
first one to handle going traffic and the second one for coming
traffic.
does anybody knows how i can setup this ?
if it's with iproute2, please give some advice or an url that explain
doing such a thing .
