Setting dns ip in linux proxy server

Hi all
I'm new to linux and i need some help.I am using a linux(squid) proxy
server for internet. and i am accessing this machine through Putty.
recentely my isp provider asked me to change the dns ip address .but i
don no how to change it please help me

edit /etc/resolv.conf
