I have a Dell Latitude D610 with WXP SP2. I have a DLINK wireless router that
is not broadcasting it's SSID and is using WPA-PSK encryption. I can get the
machien to connect fine using windows built in wireless networking software.
But as soon as I hit disconnect the network in preferred networks turns from
automatic to manual. At this point when I do a scan or refresh of wireless
Access points it never finds my network. How can I turn this automatic
feature back on??? Anyone have any suggestions I have had no luck scouring
the net for a solution.

If it is a setting that has been turned off on the router setting then you
should be able to just push the reset button on the back of the router

No this is a setting in Windows XPSP2 built in wireless. In preferred
networks that turns to manual once you disconnect from a connect. Since my
SSID is not being broadcasted you cannot reconnect because when you do a
refresh it won't show up. So obviously I could broadcast the SSID and that
would solve the issue. But I don't want the SSID broadcasted......so how do I
turn this setting in preferred networks back to automatic so it will auto
connect?? Anyone? Come on there has to be a wireless guru out there!!
