Set up client-server with Win98 as server?

We are a small company, current setup is P2P network on WinXP system.

However I want to setup a C-S setup for one particular software
package (QuickBooks), as a server system. Is it possible to use an
older PC with Win98 as the OS, and set it up as a server?
What is involved? Any upgrades to consider? Dont want to spend over
100$ to acomplish this goal. Any suggestions?

Windows 98 cannot be a server, though you can create shared folders and
printers on it. Be forewarned that this setup will allow only ten
connections at a time, so your sharing needs must be extremely modest.
